End of The Road – line up additions

Only yesterday, our very own Artur D. dropped his tip for this year’s EOTR. It’s worth taking a quick butchers at the latest line-up additions, and if you’re half as lazy as we are, you’ll appreciate the fact that I just had to google my arse off to find these clips.
Alt-J have very quickly got under our skin, and by all accounts their live show is a sight to behold. (I love that someone’s taken the trouble to reverse the following video btw.)

Brighton Rocks: The Great Escape 2012

The first line up announcement for The Great Escape 2012 was announced this morning and here at Seeks we couldn’t be more excited.

This year’s Escape kicks off on Thursday the 10th of May and climaxes on the night of the Saturday.

It’s 30 venues, 300+ bands, loads of fringe events, late-night club nights and a conference. So it’s a bit like South by Southwest on the beach but far cheaper and more accessible and you’re still likely to see the next big thing in a pub on the pier several years before they headline an O2 near you.

I’m most excited about the haunting Perfume Genius, When Saints Go Machine and Seeks favourites Dry The River.

I spoke to Matt of ‘Dry The River’ about the festival:

“We’re massively stoked to be playing The Great Escape. We had an awesome time there last year playing with The Antlers and Okkervil River and losing our 2ps on the pier. Prayin for sunshine again!! Good for drinking Brighton, too.”

Hotly tipped artists by Seeks that are appearing are Grimes, Spector, Zulu Winter, Friends, (Alt-J), François And The Atlas Mountains and Bos Angeles.

Ade: Summer, an edit.

We lost Ade to summer, but he brought us back this.
If mp3’s could smell, this one would be panda funk.
