The Antiswarm’s Guide To Halloween Part1

With Halloween almost upon us here’s the first part of the Antiswarm’s guide to all things supernatural and awesome. It’s Halloween all year round at the Antiswarm’s household so it’s more than qualified to act as your guide. To kick it off here are 2 creepy gigs to fill your Saturday night. The first is with a gritty London based metal unit called Dogstate. You can find their tune ‘Colt‘ on the penultimate Antiswarm show & very nice it is too. To our ears they’re a heady mix of Danzig style stripped back Rawk with a touch of the Cult’s ‘Electric’ era swagger. The show is at Nambucca on Holloway Rd and of course it’s fancy dress.

On the other end of the spectrum Alice Cooper brings his ‘Halloween Night of Fear‘ To Alexandra Palace also on Saturday the 29th. If you can look beyond the hair metal nineties anthem ‘Poison’ you’ll find an artist who’s career has spanned 4 decades and brought us some cracking tunes like ‘Schools’s Out‘ & ‘Elected‘. If you’ve never heard his 1973 album ‘Billion Dollar Babies‘ you’re in for a real treat and all for the bargain price of £20. And with his lavish theatrical stage show it’ll be like a Halloween pantomime!
