So we went to Field Day 2012. Yeah, it’s notorious for bad weather and it’s in East London where people are strange but there was some great music on show and the line up was pound for pound as good as anything this summer.

Earlier this evening, To celebrate the third anniversary of the launch of Third Man Records, Jack White headlined the label’s first SXSW showcase.
The show was divided into two hour long sets, with two different backing bands. The first, an all female collective bedecked in baby blue were followed by an all male backing band after the break.
Both sets were liberally sprinkled with greatest hits offerings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather. Some new material also got an airng. Seven Nation Army closed the show.
Bill Murray was in attendance.
