JOE BOYD PRESENTS WAY TO BLUE – THE LEGACY OF NICK DRAKE

It’s funny how these things happen; Nick Drake is back on my radar after I recently caught an incredibly crafted radio documentary by Charles Maynes about the singer called Three Records from Sundown which you can listen to here.

The documentary immerses you in the sound and asthetic of Nick Drake and heavily features Nick’s producer Joe Boyd. Now it turns out Joe is hosting an evening to celebrate the life and work of Nick at Wilton’s Music Hall next Tuesday. The evening will feature performances from Robyn Hitchcock, Green Gartside, Neill MacColl, Kate St John and special guests Paul Smith (from Maximo Park) and Olivia Chaney.
