Straight Outta Boston

Here’s two tracks from unsigned Boston duo You Won’t from their album Skeptic Goodbye. Great lyrics and some wholesome folky/pop. Am i going to mention Dylan. No, i’m not. Dammit.

You can buy the album from Bandcamp by clicking the link below.

Teeth – Care Bear

Teeth kick off their tour today with their album launch at The Lexington in Islington. I’ll be there, you should too…unless you live in the sticks, have children or sick elderly relatives to look after. Check their myspace page for more tour dates.

The album “Whatever” can be fully streamed here.

Wild Flag – Romance

Wild Flag, a “super” group consisting of some Sleater Kinney, Minders and Helium members cranking out some really rather catchy 60’s girl group, fuzz swathed R n’R.

The S/T album (it’s extremely good but i maybe a biased Sleater Kinney fan) is out in October on Wichita. You can listen to the Future Crimes 7″ on Spotify here.

Did anyone actually watch Portlandia? Wasn’t funny was it?

Yellow Ostrich – Mary

Wanted to put this on a show a while back but due to my fear of microphones it never happened. Instead here’s an even better live version of “Mary” from the “Whalemary” 7″ that came out last year.

Yellow Ostrich’s debut album was re-released last month on Barsuk Records. Definitely worth a listen if you get a chance.

Django Django – Waveforms

If anyone is knocking about London tonight, watching the tumbleweed blow past their miserable lives, Django Django are here to cheer you up and slay your boredom. They’ll be in East London tonight launching their latest 12″ Waveforms which you can listen to below.
